Question:
When would it be appropriate to treat a non-epileptic (or commonly called pseudo-seizure) with midazolam?
Answer:
If a patient appears to be actively seizing, you should treat them with midazolam. The only way to truly know if the patient is having a true or pseudo-seizure is to have them attached to an Electroencephalogram (EEG), which is not possible in the prehospital setting.
