Question:
Does the suctioning restriction apply to all forms of suctioning?
Answer:
The revisions apply only to the suctioning of ETTs and tracheostomies. If the patient requires suctioning of the oropharynx (ex. Vomit), then continue to follow management as per the BLS PCS Airway Obstruction Standard. Remember to don appropriate PPE.
