Question:

If my asthmatic patient has an anaphylactic reaction do they also get dexamethasone?

Answer:

Dexamethasone is Indicated when treating for bronchoconstriction due to an asthma exacerbation.  If the patient’s primary concern is anaphylaxis, you should utilize Moderate to Severe Allergic Reaction Medical Directive.
