If a patient is in pain and states they don't like taking Advil or can't take Advil (but no allergy), would it be appropriate to administer Tylenol and Toradol? They are not contraindications of each other.

If a patient states they do not like taking ibuprofen (Advil), you should explore why this is the case and document as such.  Prior to administering ketorolac (Toradol), you should ensure the patient understands that it is also an NSAID, like ibuprofen, and that their concerns with taking ibuprofen are not applicable to ketorolac.\

Should the patient meet the Indications, Conditions and none of the Contraindications, they may be administered ketorolac and acetaminophen together.
