Take a full history before moving the patient when possible, pending patient stability. He/she might not be able to answer by the time you get back around to asking questions. Sometimes, history taking is the most important thing we can do for the patient. This history and initial observation are sometimes the only information that hospital staff can obtain, which can help tremendously as they treat the patient.
