For pediatric patients, are we supposed to get orders solely from pediatric physicians or can we get orders from physicians an adult ED? Are the pediatric physicians also in the base hospital program?

The London patch site is unique in that it has both an adult and pediatric emergency department. As such, for Middlesex London, Oxford, Oneida and Elgin Paramedic Services, you should request a pediatric patch physician for any pediatric online medical control that is required. If you are working in the London-area and are mistakenly connected with an adult ED, please ask ACC to reconnect you with a pediatric patch physician. Paramedic Services that utilize Windsor, Sarnia or Owen Sound patch sites will be connected to a patch physician that provides both adult and pediatric online medical control.
