If I am certified in manual defibrillation, however in a cardiac arrest call am not confident in my rhythm analysis, can I switch to SAED to help interpret/treat the patient?  

Yes. SWORBHP Medical council supports a paramedic utilizing SAED should they be unsure of the rhythm or to allow for cognitive offloading during a busy resuscitation, to provide appropriate treatment in the setting of utilizing manual defibrillation
