Manager, Education
The Education Manager provides clinical expertise, leadership and coordination for all clinical education and certification activities for SWORBHP. This includes oversight of the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of education / certification initiatives by Prehospital Care Specialists to facilitate the theoretical and clinical competence of regional paramedics. The educational programming includes certification, continued medical education (CME), remedial training and maintenance of certification including in-class and on-line venues to expand the knowledge and skills of paramedics in achieving competencies and obtaining professional development. The manager works collaboratively with provincial peers to standardize educational offerings and curriculum.
Bio: Gabrielle joined the Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program in July 2021 as a full-time Prehospital Care Specialist (PHCS) and moved to the Coordinator, now Manager role in October 2021. Gabrielle holds a BSc in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, a BScN from the University of Toronto, and a MSc in Neuroscience from Wilfrid Laurier University. Prior to joining SWORBHP Gabrielle worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at London Health Sciences Centre.
